Fürth's Stadtpark is one of the most beautiful municipal parks in Bavaria — a broad, landscaped green space laid out in the English style in the late 19th century, with mature trees, meandering paths, and a small lake at its centre. It sits just north of the Altstadt and is easy to reach on foot from the main train station.
The park is a local institution. On summer afternoons it fills with families, joggers, and old men on benches with newspapers. The restored Parkrestaurant at the lake has a pleasant terrace. If you are visiting Fürth between April and October, the park is worth an hour of your time.
