Landshut's medieval city centre is the main reason to linger in town. Much of the historic core still follows its late-medieval shape, with long market streets, gabled houses, churches, and views up toward Trausnitz Castle.
The area is easy to explore on foot and works well as the thread connecting St Martin's Church, the City Residence, and the climb to the castle. In summer it often has street life and informal performances, while Advent brings a Christmas market.
