Schongau is not a lively nightlife town, and most visitors are here for the daytime sights. After dark, a few traditional Bavarian pubs (Wirtshäuser) stay open around the Marktplatz, serving local beers on tap. The pace is quiet even on weekends. For anything more animated, Landsberg am Lech to the north has a more active bar scene.
