Berlin's oldest public park, opened in 1848 and now one of the busiest green spaces in the city. It holds the Märchenbrunnen (Fairy Tale Fountain), with sandstone sculptures of Brothers Grimm characters around a baroque water feature; two grassy hills ("Mont Klamott") built from WWII rubble; summer open-air cinema; and beer gardens that fill up as soon as the weather warms.
