The most famous kebab in Berlin, and quite possibly Germany. Mustafa's tops the standard döner with a heap of grilled seasonal vegetables, crumbled feta, fresh herbs, a squeeze of lemon and a dusting of spice — a combination simple enough that it is endlessly copied and never quite matched. The queue down Mehringdamm became a tourist attraction in its own right.
In 2024 the stand moved across the street from its original corner to Mehringdamm 33, a few steps from the U-Bahn, but little else has changed: the same recipe, the same crowds, the same wait. Come early or late to dodge the worst of the line, and eat it standing up like everyone else.
