Wittenberg is well connected by train. Direct regional services run from Berlin Hauptbahnhof (about 45–55 minutes on the IC/ICE, slightly longer on regional trains) and from Leipzig (about 40–50 minutes). The station is called Lutherstadt Wittenberg Hauptbahnhof and sits about 15 minutes' walk east of the historic centre, or a short taxi or bus ride.
By car, Wittenberg is reached via the A9 motorway (take the Lutherstadt Wittenberg exit) or the B2/B187 roads. Parking is available near the centre; most of the historic area is pedestrianised.
