Offenbach is not a tourist city — it is a working industrial and design city that happens to sit next to Frankfurt. Its two main museums, the German Leather Museum and the Klingspor Museum, are genuine specialist institutions worth seeking out. The riverfront and the creative neighbourhood around the old factory district are the best uses of an afternoon.
