Moers is easily reached from Duisburg and Düsseldorf.
By train: Moers station is on the Lower Rhine Railway (Niederrheinstrecke). Direct trains run from Duisburg Hauptbahnhof in about 25 minutes, and from Düsseldorf with one change in Duisburg in about 40 minutes. Regional Express and S-Bahn services connect Moers into the dense Ruhr rail network.
By car: The A57 motorway runs close to Moers, and the town is about 15 km west of central Duisburg. From Düsseldorf, take the A57 north; from Cologne, the A57 via Krefeld.
By tram: NiederrheinBahn services connect Moers with Krefeld and Duisburg, providing an alternative to the train for day visitors.
