Eisenach's three main draws — the Wartburg, the Bachhaus, and the Lutherhaus — are all within easy walking distance of the town centre. The castle above the town is the unquestioned highlight, but the Bach and Luther connections give Eisenach a depth that rewards a full day's exploration. The Thuringian Forest hiking trails begin right at the edge of town.
