Egapark is Erfurt's big garden park, a broad landscaped site of flower beds, themed gardens, glasshouses, lawns, and family attractions on the western side of the city. It grew from major horticultural exhibitions and still has a confident mid-century public-park feel.
It is best in the growing season, when the planting gives the place its colour and scale. For families it can fill half a day; for garden-minded travellers it is a useful contrast to Erfurt's medieval centre.
