Andros doesn't do nightlife in any serious sense, but it does the afternoon coffee ritual extremely well. Chora's main street and the plateia at its end are lined with kafeneions and modern cafes where the island's Athenian visitors spend their mornings over Greek coffee and their evenings over wine and tsipouro. Batsi has a more relaxed beach-bar atmosphere — umbrellas, cold beers, and the sound of the sea. Neither scene goes particularly late, which is part of the point.
