The Museum of Greek Popular Musical Instruments is a small specialist museum in Plaka, close to the Roman Agora. Its collection covers traditional Greek instruments, with recordings that let you hear how many of them sound rather than just reading labels.
It is best as a short stop between the archaeological sites, especially if you are interested in folk music or want a quieter museum after the Acropolis crowds.
