Agia Anna Beach

Agia Anna runs directly south from Agios Prokopios, separated by a narrow headland, and feels noticeably calmer despite being only a short walk away. The bay is more enclosed, the water even more sheltered, and the development slightly less concentrated. A small fishing harbour at the north end of the beach gives the place a lived-in quality absent from the more resort-oriented beaches nearby.

The village behind the beach has a cluster of tavernas, small supermarkets, and rental agencies. It's a reasonable alternative base to Hora for those who want to be directly on the beach rather than in town — quieter at night, easier to reach the sand in the morning, with frequent bus connections to Hora. The beach itself is narrower than Agios Prokopios but the sand quality is similar: fine, pale, good underfoot.

For swimming, Agia Anna is excellent. The shallow entry, the sheltered bay, and the reliable clarity of the water make it appropriate for children and non-strong swimmers. The southern end of the bay, where the beach narrows before the next headland, is the least crowded section and slightly wilder in feel — fewer sunbeds, more people who just found a patch of sand and laid a towel on it.
