Getting There

Naxos has a small airport with flights from Athens (about 35 minutes). In summer, several flights run daily, though they fill up fast — book early if you want to fly.

Most visitors arrive by ferry from Piraeus, the main port of Athens. The trip takes around five hours on a conventional ferry or three and a half on a high-speed catamaran. Blue Star Ferries and SeaJets both operate the route. There are also frequent connections from Paros (just 30 minutes away), Santorini, Ios, and other Cycladic islands. In high season, boats run multiple times daily in all directions.
