Mylopotamos is widely considered one of the most beautiful beaches on Pelion's eastern coast and is accessible only on foot — a 20-minute descent on a stone-paved path from the road above. The beach is a narrow pebble cove backed by cliffs, with exceptionally clear turquoise water and the dramatic wooded hillsides of the peninsula rising behind it. There is a small taverna operating in summer.
The effort required to reach it keeps crowds manageable even in August. The path from the road above Tsagarada passes through pine and olive trees before the sea comes into view below — the approach is part of the experience. A second, longer path connects Mylopotamos to Fakistra beach to the north, passing sea caves and rocky outcrops along the clifftop.
