The three main towns of the Danube Bend — Szentendre, Visegrád, and Esztergom — each have a distinct character and can be visited independently or combined in a two-day loop from Budapest. The scenery along the river is among the best in Central Europe. The Danube-Ipoly National Park covers the hills and forests on both sides of the river, with hiking trails connecting the towns.
