Hveragerði is a small town and its café scene reflects that — a handful of places, most of them doubling as lunch spots or bakeries, where locals and passing travellers sit over coffee. The pace is unhurried. A warm drink after the Reykjadalur hike is one of the better simple pleasures the town offers.
