Bundoran is in the south of County Donegal, close to the borders of Counties Leitrim and Sligo. By car from Dublin it takes about three hours via the N4/N15; from Belfast about two and a half hours via the A4/N16.
Bus Éireann runs services to Bundoran from Dublin, Sligo, and Donegal Town. The nearest railway stations are in Sligo (about 35 km south) and Enniskillen, Northern Ireland (about 45 km east), both reached by onward bus or taxi. Sligo Airport is the nearest airport, about 45 kilometres away, though it has limited routes; Dublin and Belfast airports are the practical entry points for most international visitors.
