Dick Mack's is the most famous pub in Dingle and the most photographed. It is a genuine, working old-style Irish pub — narrow, dark, lined with whiskey shelves on one side and a small bar on the other — and has been in the same family since 1899. The interior is mostly unchanged since the mid-20th century, which is exactly why people come.
The pub now brews its own beer in the courtyard out back and distils its own gin upstairs. The traditional music sessions are mostly informal — sit at the bar and the players will probably appear from the back room. Order a Guinness or a whiskey flight; the wine list is a polite afterthought.
