Glór

County Clare's main venue for traditional music, theatre, and film

Address Causeway Link, Friars Walk

Glór is the cultural centre for County Clare — a purpose-built theatre that opened in 2001, a five-minute walk east of O'Connell Square on the far bank of the Fergus. The 470-seat main auditorium hosts a programme that runs heavily to traditional Irish music but also takes in plays, dance, comedy, and an art-house film series.

Bookings sell out for the higher-profile concerts, particularly during the Fleadh Nua festival in late May; otherwise tickets are usually available on the day. A small café and gallery operate within the building during opening hours.
