Peel Lighthouse stands at the harbour breakwater, a small but satisfying endpoint to a walk around Peel's working waterfront. The setting is the point: behind you are the fishing boats and town, across the water is Peel Castle on St Patrick's Isle, and ahead is the open Irish Sea.
The tower itself is closed, so treat this as a viewpoint rather than an interior visit. It is especially good near sunset, when Peel's west-coast position does the work. Combine it with the castle, the beach, and fish and chips along the harbour for an easy half-day.
