Getting There

Pescasseroli has bus connections to Rome (roughly three hours, via Avezzano) and to Pescara on the Adriatic coast. Services are infrequent — check ARPA Abruzzo timetables before travelling. There is no train station in the village; the nearest rail connections are at Avezzano or Castel di Sangro.

By car from Rome, the most direct route goes via the A25 motorway to Avezzano, then south through the Valle Roveto into the park — about two and a half hours. From the Adriatic side, it is a scenic drive over the Apennines from Pescara or Chieti. A car is useful for exploring the wider park, but most trails from Pescasseroli itself are walkable from the village centre.
