The park authority office in Piazza Sant'Antonio is the right first stop — pick up a trail map, ask about recent bear and wolf sightings, and sign up for a guided excursion if you want the best chance of seeing wildlife. The botanical garden and the park's natural history museum are good for orientation before heading into the backcountry.
