Loggia Amblingh

The Loggia Amblingh is the long arcaded terrace that runs along the seaward edge of the centro storico — built in the 16th century as a covered walk for the noble families of Vasto, and still the prime spot for an evening passeggiata.

The view runs the whole length of the Trabocchi coast: south to the Punta Penna lighthouse, north to the rolling hills behind Casalbordino. Sunset here, with the Adriatic light catching the white limestone of the arcade, is some of the most photogenic free real estate in coastal Abruzzo.
