Meta di Sorrento is a quiet town rather than a sightseeing destination. The main draw is the beach — one of the few sandy beaches on the Sorrentine Peninsula — and the calm waterfront, which gives it a more local feel than the tourist-focused Sorrento a few kilometres west. The Circumvesuviana railway makes Sorrento, Pompeii, and Naples all easily accessible as day trips.
