Bellaria-Igea Marina is a compact, flat town and a car is not necessary once you have arrived.
On foot: The seafront promenade connects the Bellaria and Igea Marina halves of town and is the main artery for getting around. Most hotels, restaurants, and beach clubs are within easy walking distance of each other. The town centre, the harbour, and the Saracen Tower are all reachable on foot from anywhere along the waterfront.
By bicycle: Bikes are the ideal way to get around Bellaria and the surrounding flat coast. Bicycle rental shops and hire points at many stabilimenti make them easy to find; daily and weekly rates are affordable. The coast road and the network of flat roads inland are well suited to cycling, and it is possible to ride north to Cesenatico or south to Rimini without great difficulty.
By bus: Start Romagna buses connect Bellaria to Rimini and other towns along the coast. For a night out in Rimini or a day trip to Cesenatico, the bus is the simplest option — frequent in summer, less so in the shoulder months.
Taxi: Taxis are available but not abundant; ask your hotel to book one in advance for airport transfers or late-night returns from Rimini.
