The Romagna Riviera is famous for its nightlife, and Cattolica is one of the busier towns on this stretch of coast. The pattern of an evening is well established: gelato or an aperitivo on Piazza I Maggio at sunset, dinner from about 8.30, then on to the bars along the seafront and — if you really want the full Riviera experience — to one of the big discos at Gabicce.
In summer the waterfront is the main stage, with open-air concerts and DJ sets organised by the council most weekends. Things get genuinely loud around midnight; the atmosphere stays family-friendly until well into the evening.
