Arco di Riccardo

Arco di Riccardo is a Roman gate set into the narrow streets of Trieste's old town. It dates to the Augustan walls, traditionally placed around 33 AD, and is one of the easiest ancient Roman remains to find while walking between the waterfront and San Giusto.

The arch is a quick stop, but it adds useful depth to a walk through the older part of Trieste.
