A restored section of the ancient Roman road that once connected the empire's Ligurian coast from the Alps to Rome. The trekking path runs above the sea between Albenga and Alassio through olive groves and Mediterranean scrub, with sections of original Roman paving still visible. The walk takes one to two hours at an easy pace and offers elevated views over the coast. Roman ruins are scattered along the route.
