Cisano is well-placed for poking around the lower Riviera. Albenga, the regional centre and an ancient Roman city, is a five-minute drive away. Alassio's beach is fifteen minutes by car. Upstream, the older inland villages of Arnasco and Balestrino (the latter famously abandoned after a 1953 landslide) make a half-day loop by car.
