The historic centre is small, flat and walkable — you can cross it in ten minutes. Brescia also runs an automated light-metro (one line, opened 2013) linking the station to the northern suburbs, which is useful only if you are staying out of the centre. Buses cover the rest of the city; taxis are plentiful at the station.
