Piazza della Vittoria

Piazza della Vittoria is Brescia's clearest example of 1930s rationalist urban design. It was laid out by Marcello Piacentini, one of the architects associated with Rome's EUR district, and contrasts sharply with the older streets and squares around it.

The square is worth a short stop for its architecture and for the way it shows a different layer of Brescia's city history.
