The historic centre of Cremona is entirely walkable — most sights are within 15 minutes' walk of the Piazza del Comune. The exception is San Sigismondo, which is about 2.5 km east of the centre; cycling is the most convenient way to reach it. Bike rental is available in the centre.
Local buses connect the train station to the centre and to the outlying residential areas, but most visitors won't need them for sightseeing. Taxis are available at the station and in the main piazza.
