A small Baroque oratory on the northern edge of the centre, distinguished by a deep red plaster wash that gives it the local name "Rosso". The interior is rococo at small scale; the site is traditionally that of the martyrdom of Sant'Emidio, Ascoli's patron, in 303 AD.
Stop in for ten minutes if you are walking out to Sant'Emidio alle Grotte; the two are part of the same pilgrimage circuit.
