Cripta e Museo di Sant'Anastasio

The Cripta e Museo di Sant'Anastasio is one of Asti’s quieter rewards, an archaeological site built around the remains of a Romanesque church and its crypt. Columns, capitals, and brickwork sit close enough to touch, making the city’s early medieval layers unusually tangible.

It is a good stop if you like places that explain a town from underneath. Asti’s streets can feel tidy and self-contained; the crypt shows how much older material is carrying them.
