One of Porto Rotondo's most enduring marina restaurants, Il Porticciolo occupies a prime position on the waterfront promenade with terrace seating that looks directly across the harbour. The menu centres on Sardinian seafood — bottarga (cured mullet roe shaved over pasta), grilled orata and branzino, local lobster in the classic Sardinian style with tomato and olive oil — executed well if without much surprise.
The wine list is a good survey of Sardinian producers: Vermentino di Gallura is the local white and pairs very well with seafood here. Reservations are essential in July and August.
