Spiaggia di Ira

The closest beach to the Porto Rotondo marina, Spiaggia di Ira is a crescent of white sand tucked into a sheltered cove just south of the port. The water is typically the brilliant turquoise-green of the north Sardinian coast, clear enough to read the sand through three or four metres of depth. A beach bar operates in summer.

The beach is small and fills quickly on summer days. It is best visited either in the morning before the sun hits full strength, or in late afternoon when the light turns the water gold. The walk from the piazzetta takes about ten minutes along a path through the pinewood.
