The best months are June and September. July and August are peak season — the beach fills up and the restaurants are heaving, but the town handles the crowds reasonably well. September brings the Cous Cous Fest, which draws thousands of visitors for a long weekend of cooking competitions and concerts. May is excellent for walking in the Zingaro Reserve, when the wildflowers are at their best.
