Chiesa di Santa Margherita is one of the old-centre churches that makes Sciacca more rewarding than it first appears. The exterior is modest by Sicilian standards, but the church belongs to the dense cluster of religious and civic buildings around the upper town.
It is best folded into a walk rather than treated as a destination by itself. Pair it with Palazzo Steripinto and the lanes leading down toward the harbour, where the town's medieval structure becomes easier to feel.
