Sciacca's harbour is not a polished promenade, and that is exactly why it is worth the walk down. Fishing boats, nets, repair work, and seafood restaurants give the town its working edge.
Come in the late afternoon, when the light is softer and the climb back into the old town feels less punishing. The harbour helps explain Sciacca better than any single monument: this is a sea town first, a tourist stop second.
