Cerreto Guidi is about 30 kilometres west of Florence. By car it is a straightforward 35-minute drive via the FI-PI-LI motorway (Firenze-Pisa-Livorno), exiting at Empoli Est or Empoli Ovest and following signs north toward Cerreto Guidi.
By public transport, take a regional train from Florence Santa Maria Novella to Empoli (about 25 minutes, frequent services), then a local bus north to Cerreto Guidi. Bus connections are infrequent — check the AUTOLINEE TOSCANE timetable before you go, or consider a taxi from Empoli for the final 10 kilometres.
The town is best explored on foot. Parking is available on the edges of the historic centre.
