Preludio is a small, well-regarded restaurant on Via Guelfa, a short walk from Piazza della Repubblica. The kitchen serves modernized Tuscan cooking — pici with a slow-cooked duck ragu, Chianina beef tartare, hand-rolled pasta with truffle in season.
The dining room is intimate (about ten tables) and the prices are reasonable for the quality. Reservations are essential, especially in summer.
