Gambassi Terme is about 35 km southwest of Florence. By car, take the Superstrada Firenze-Pisa-Livorno west and exit toward Empoli, then follow signs south into the Valdelsa. The drive from Florence takes under an hour. There is no direct rail connection; the closest station is at Certaldo, about 10 km away, reachable by bus. Walkers following the Via Francigena pass through on the route between Siena and the coast.
