A small Liberty-style villa from the late nineteenth century, now home to the MAC,n — Monsummano's modern and contemporary art collection. The rotation of works leans towards Tuscan artists of the twentieth century, with a permanent room dedicated to local sculptor Lorenzo Viani.
The building itself is the larger attraction: art-nouveau flourishes, painted ceilings, and a garden of magnolias and cypress. Opening hours are limited (typically Friday to Sunday) and entry is inexpensive. Worth half an hour if you happen to be in town on a weekend.
