San Gimignano has no train station. The nearest rail connection is Poggibonsi, about 12 kilometres away, which has frequent buses to San Gimignano (roughly 25 minutes). Poggibonsi is on the Siena-Empoli line, so arriving from Florence or Siena by train is straightforward. By car, San Gimignano is well signposted from the superstrada connecting Siena to Florence. Parking is outside the walls -- the town centre is pedestrian-only.
