The town centre is pedestrianised and small enough to walk comfortably. Ski lifts depart from the edge of the village at Dolonne and from the cable car station at the southern end of Via Roma; both are a short walk from most accommodation.
The ski bus connects Courmayeur village with the different lift stations and with the hamlet of Entrèves during the winter season. It is free with a valid lift pass and runs frequently during lift hours. In summer, a similar shuttle service operates for hikers and cyclists.
Car parking is limited and expensive in the centre during peak periods. If you are staying for more than a day or two, it is better to park in one of the outlying car parks and use the bus. The Pré-Saint-Didier thermal baths are five kilometres away and served by bus; the same service continues to the train station.
Taxis are available from the main square. Renting a bicycle in summer is straightforward — several shops on Via Roma offer mountain bikes and e-bikes.
