Villa Revedin-Bolasco

A nineteenth-century villa and park on the northern edge of the walls, set in nearly eight hectares of romantic English-style grounds. The villa itself was built between 1852 and 1865 by the architect Giambattista Meduna for the Revedin family, and is closed except for special events; the park, however, is freely open and is the best green space in town.

The grounds were designed by the landscape architect Antonio Caregaro Negrin and include a long curved lake, a small island, a horse-riding ring with marble statues by the sculptor Orazio Marinali, and a fine collection of mature trees — cedars, magnolias, ginkgoes, plane trees over 150 years old. It is a good place to read or picnic on a hot afternoon, and almost always empty.
