Castelfranco sits on the main railway line from Venice to Bassano del Grappa and is a major junction for the Venetian plain, with services in all four directions.
By train: Direct services from Venice (about 50 minutes), Padua (35 minutes), Treviso (25 minutes), Vicenza (40 minutes), and Bassano del Grappa (20 minutes). The station is a short walk from the walls.
By car: From the A4 motorway (Milan-Venice) exit at Padova Est and follow the SS307 north for about 30 km. From the A27 (Venice-Belluno) exit at Treviso Sud and drive west on the SR53. Parking is plentiful around the perimeter of the walls but mostly metered.
By bus: MOM (Mobilità di Marca) connects Castelfranco to surrounding towns, including Asolo, Montebelluna, and Bassano. Useful for visiting Villa Emo and the smaller Palladian villas in the area.
