Every summer, an international team of professional sand sculptors comes to Jesolo for the Jesolo Sand Nativity (winter) and the Sand Sculpture Festival (summer). The summer event runs from June into late September, with large-scale sculptures around a different theme each year — past editions have ranged from the works of Dante to scenes from world cinema.
The sculptures are protected in roofed enclosures along the beach near Piazza Brescia. Entrance is paid; check posters around town for the current year's opening hours.
