Jesolo Beach

15km of fine sand, mostly divided into private beach concessions

The whole reason Lido di Jesolo exists. Fifteen kilometres of fine, golden sand running between the Sile river mouth and Cavallino, divided into about thirty stabilimenti — private beach clubs where you rent an umbrella and two sunbeds for the day or week. Each club has its own colour scheme and personality, but the offer is similar: a row of cabins for changing, a beach bar with cold drinks, and an attendant to set up the loungers.

The few stretches of spiaggia libera (free beach), mostly at the eastern end near Cortellazzo and the western end near Piazza Brescia, fill up by mid-morning in July and August. The water is shallow, calm, and warm enough to swim in from June to September. Lifeguard service runs through the summer season.

A story
Jesolo's beach claims one of the longest stretches of fine sand on the Adriatic. The Blue Flag award, granted in most recent years, certifies water quality strict enough to drink from in the shallows — though no one does. The shore shelves so gently that small children can wade out hundreds of metres before the water reaches a parent's waist.
